To operate safely
Operating instructions
On and off
Press the ON / OFF button to turn the appliance ON.
The LCD panel will light up.
If the unit has been switched off and on again, it will resume operation with the settings for mode, humidity and backlight from its last use. Only the timer setting will be reset to zero.
If the power is restored after a power failure, the unit (including the timer) will resume operation at the settings that were selected prior to the power failure.
To switch off the unit, press the ON / OFF button first before unplugging the power plug from the electrical outlet.
Timer mode
Press to set timer from 1 to 24 hours or off (the timer indicator will switch off).
After setting the timer, the indicator and digits on the LCD panel will blink for
5 seconds and then return to display the room humidity level.
The timer indicator lights up only when the timer has been set.
Press the timer button once to check the time remaining.
Relative humidity
Press to set your desired humidity level from 40% to 70% RH (at 5% increments) or CO (continuous mode).
For example, if 50% RH is selected, the unit will operate and dehumidification will occur when the room humidity level is detected at above 50% RH.
After setting the desired humidity level, the indicator and digits on the LCD panel will blink for 5 seconds and then return to display the room humidity level.
Humidity Level | Recommendations |
>60% | Maintain the room at a comfortable indoor humidity level |
50% |
Inhibit mould and bacteria growth For daily normal household use to maintain humidity at a healthy level of 55%RH (Bacteria and mould will not breed at this level). |
40% |
Super dry mode to prevent condensation To control a very damp room in the first couple of days. Then, switch to 50% or 60% to save energy. |
Continuous |
Suitable in winter to dry clothes faster The unit continues to dehumidify regardless of the humidity level (unless the water tank is full). We recommend operating this mode along with a timer setting to save energy. |
Note:
- RH indicated has a ±10% RH tolerance and may vary depending on room temperature.
- Once the desired humidity level is reached, the unit will pause dehumidification to save energy (see next section on auto pause and restart function).
LCD backlight dimming
Press to change backlight from H (no dimming), L5 (slightly dim) to L1 (dimmest) or LO (no backlight).
The backlight indicator lights up only when the unit has been set between LO and L5.
Auto pause and restart function
Once the desired humidity level is reached, the unit will pause dehumidification for 60 minutes (LCD panel will display ). After 60 minutes, the unit will run on fan mode (LCD panel will display ) for 5 minutes to monitor the room humidity level.
If the room humidity level increases by 5% or more during the pause or fan mode, the unit will start dehumidifying again.
If the room humidity level does not increase, the unit will repeat the 60-minute pause and 5-minute fan cycle.
Emptying the water tank
- When the water tank is full, the indicator light blinks and the unit will stop operating.
- Do not move the unit or remove the water tank if the machine is still operating as water may leak, damage the unit or cause an electric shock.
- To remove the water tank, pull it out by gripping the sides of the water tank and lifting it carefully.
- Pour the water away, clean the water tank and install the water tank back into the unit.
NOTE:
- Clean the water tank with clean water if needed. Do not use detergent, solvents, abrasives or hot water to avoid damage to the appliance.
- Do not remove or damage the float in the water tank; the unit will not work correctly.
- The full tank indicator light blinks if the water tank is not positioned correctly.
Continuous drainage option
A hose with an inner diameter of 12mm can be connected for continuous drainage:
- Use a screwdriver to remove the knockout at the back (on the tank). Attach the hose to the connector through the hole.
- The hose must lead to an appropriate drain at a downward slope with no sharp bends.
Note:
- Ensure the water tank is well fitted in position before inserting the hose.
- Before removing the water tank, ensure the hose is disconnected.

Troubleshooting
The following conditions are normal:
- The compressor will stop or rest for 3 minutes every time the unit shuts down or is plugged in to the electrical outlet. This helps ensure a smooth start for the dehumidifier.
- The unit works within room temperature of about 5 - 35°C. It may stop operation when the room temperature is out of this range or when the air inlet or outlet is covered.
- The unit could increase the room temperature by 1 - 3°C.
If your dehumidifier is not operating as expected, please check the following items first:
Dehumidifier not operating
Possible cause: The unit is unplugged
Solution: Make sure the plug is pushed completely not operating into the electrical outlet.
Possible cause: The water tank is full or not in place (the full tank indicator is blinking)
Solution: Empty the water tank, check that the float is in position, and reinstall the water tank.
Possible cause: The unit is defrosting (thedefrosting indicator is blinking)
Solution: This is normal. The unit will restart its operation after it has finished defrosting.
Very little water is collected
Possible cause: The room humidity has reached the setting
