Ionmax offers ventilation products in the form of air purifiers, dehumidifiers, humidifiers, heaters and even replacement filters to help better the lives of Australians from all walks of life as we understand the importance of good indoor air quality and the positive effects they can bring.
This guide will help you understand NDIS, its benefits, how you can buy Ionmax products under the NDIS scheme and which products you should get for your disability.
What is the NDIS?
The NDIS, or National Disability Scheme, is an initiative funded by the Australian government that was designed to support individuals with disabilities, providing them with funding and assistance tailored to their specific needs.
Its goal is to empower people living with disabilities to help them achieve their life goals, participate in the community and improve their overall well-being and quality of life.
The NDIS works closely with doctors, community groups, support groups and organisations like Ionmax to support over 500,000 Australians living with disabilities to access the services and products they need.
Why buy with NDIS-registered providers?
Buying from NDIS-registered providers like Ionmax offers several benefits, including quality assurance, tailored support, claims/rebates available, and expertise. More information about each benefit is explained below:
Quality assurance
NDIS providers need to be registered and regulated. To be an NDIS provider, an organisation must meet stringent requirements laid down by NDIS and their products/services must meet specific standards of quality and safety. This ensures consistency and reliability in the products and services offered.
Tailored support
NDIS providers like Ionmax usually understand the unique needs of individuals living with disabilities and their products and services are specifically designed to cater to these needs.
Claims/rebates available
Purchasing from registered NDIS providers often means that the products and services are covered by NDIS funding, usually by a full claim or a cash rebate. This helps make the products or services more affordable and accessible for individuals under the scheme.
Expertise and experience
NDIS providers typically have expertise and experience in catering to individuals with disabilities. Because of this experience and expertise, they are able to provide educated guidance, recommendations and support in choosing the most suitable products.
How can I buy from Ionmax under the NDIS?
Purchasing Ionmax products under the NDIS depends on your NDIS plan (self-managed, plan-managed or agency-managed). A breakdown of how you can order from each plan can be seen below:
Self-managed
Participants who are self-managed are required to create an Ionmax account. When selecting payment, select any payment method other than ‘NDIS’.
Your product will be shipped along with a tax invoice to be submitted to the NDIS for reimbursement.
Plan-managed
Participants are also required to create an Ionmax account. Select NDIS as your preferred payment method. Your plan manager will be emailed with your tax invoice.
Once payment has been received from your manager, your order will be shipped out.
Agency-managed
Create a new Ionmax account or log into your existing account. Place your order online and select NDIS as your preferred payment method. We will submit your tax invoice to the NDIA for the claim.
Once payment from the NDIA has been received, your order will be shipped out.
